It is good until an authorized user has access to the system automated for vpn login.
i don't know whats your intention.. and none of your comment clarifies that.

i didnt worked on debian based machine's a much but a litle google gave me this:

https://forums.kali.org/archive/index.php/t-18597.html
http://uwnthesis.wordpress.com/2013/...debian-wheezy/

Since you are just started with it, i would uggest doing it with network Manager the graphical way.. i.e edit -->connect automatically.

Lightbulb Create VPN And Automatc Connect Step By Step[Solved]

ok
its training by me

Step 1 Enabling VPN Connections:
first you must modify your sources address's, type on terminal:
Code:
pico /etc/apt/sources.list
on this file append this lines:
Code:
deb http://http.kali.org/ /kali main contrib non-free
deb http://http.kali.org/ /wheezy main contrib non-free
deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali-dev main contrib non-free
deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali-dev main/debian-installer
deb-src http://http.kali.org/kali kali-dev main contrib non-free
deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali main contrib non-free
deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali main/debian-installer
deb-src http://http.kali.org/kali kali main contrib non-free
deb http://security.kali.org/kali-security kali/updates main contrib non-free
deb-src http://security.kali.org/kali-security kali/updates main contrib non-free
deb http://repo.kali.org/kali kali-bleeding-edge main
Notification 1: if you edited this file please make backup.
Notification 2:
in default file sources.list have a this line:
Code:
deb http://security.kali.org/kali-security kali/updates main contrib non-free
change that to
Code:
#deb http://security.kali.org/kali-security kali/updates main contrib non-free

now press Cntrl+O and Then Cntrl+M for save this file.
and now press Cntrl+x for end editing sources\.list.
type this command on terminal for update first[its very important]:
Code:
apt-get update
wait for updating completely and success.
now type this command for restarting your network manager:
Code:
/etc/init.d/network-manager restart
now you need to install vpn network manager with this command:
Code:
apt-get install network-manager-openvpn network-manager-pptp network-manager-vpnc
Step 2 Creating VPN Connaction:
going to Configure VPN...
click on Add
select OpenVPN
click create

if you need automatic connect this vpn connection you must check "Connect Automatically" option.

in this new window Gateway is remote vpn server host or ip.
Notification 3:
in gateway do not add port number.
Code:
correct example: us2.sample.com:43
Code:
true example: us2.sample.com

then select your authentication type
then enter user pass and/or TLS<mean certificates and private key>

now its the important step, click on advanced .
if your vpn server use a custom port for vpn connections for example: 53, 433, 80 and ....
you must check "use custom gateway port" and enter the port.

if your vpn server need LZO compression and use that click "use LZO data compression".

AND this Very IMPORTANT:
do not miss if your vpn connection is TCP check "Use TCP Connection" and if your connection is UDP uncheck that!!!

next important setp is on current window tab Security you must select your connection security type some servers use AES-128-CBC Cipher.
click Ok and Save.

its DOWN.Enjoy
