Connectivity problems between 2 Linux nodes

I am not able to ping nor ssh from one Red Hat node (name of node is tigerserver2) to another node whose OS is LSB linux(name of node is CCN1).

However all other nodes are able to connect to CCN1.

There is another node in the same subnet as CCN1, which is CCN2, but is pingable from tigerserver2.

tigerserver2 does not have a route to CCN2, but still it is pingable and accessible.

I do not think this is a firewall problem either, because I can ping and ssh from tigerserver2 to CCN2.

I have checked firewall configurations in both CCN1 & CCN2 and both are similar. Even the route tables in CCN1 & CCN2 seems similar.

Please help resolve this issue.

Do a traceroute from tigerserver2 to both CCN1 and CCN2. I'm sure you will find a route to CCN2. Check your routing table on tigerserver2 to ensure it has the correct routes. check your network setup and ensure that the mask is setup correctly. I've seen in the past where someone fat fingered the mask. For good messure change your routing back to tigerserver2 from both CCN1 and CCN2. Maybe CCN1 doesn't know how to get back to tigerserver2.
