You could use a tool like VNC to connect to your home computer, and access the router page "locally" from your home computer while at work.

When you setup a VNC server on your home computer, you will need to forward a port to that computer using your router. This should not be a problem if you are setting this up while you are at home. Then, in the future, you will be able to access your home computer from work, and in turn, your router settings.

If you need a solution immediately to connect to your router at home, and you do not have time to setup VNC at your home, then I have no answers or ideas for you.

Many modem/routers are configurable from the Internet/WAN, you just need to know their public IP address which you can make findable using a dynamic DNS service such as dyndns.com. The VNC route (or similar) is more secure though. What is the model of your router?

We need the model of your router, most consumer routers that I have experience with will not allow you to configure them from the WAN interface. However on the better ones you can usually change a setting in the web interface to allow it to accept incoming connections from the WAN.

It's a security hole I wouldn't want to open though, if you do I suggest changing the password to something very long and changing the port. Also make sure it doesn't allow 22 or 23 (ssh/telnet) in from the outside.

That sounds like what you need Enable and configure it, and I expect that you will be able to access your router from the WAN.
