command for checking system resource usage?


whats the command to check running programs and memory, cpu usage?

question??

Sorry for intruding on your post
I have a program that runs every 10 sec or so... peter_robb I seen your post on using "top".
It shows user: LP, command:footmatic-rip and gs is the culprit...
Being a newbie, How do I stop these 2 commands from running every 10 seconds
The pid increases every time it executes??
