Cluster using Linux and Windows

I am trying to build a cluster using PVM. Can I use both Windows and Linux to work with PVM, like master running on Linux and some slaves using Windows.

Yes. PVM allows for heterogenius clusters. You can have machines on multiple platforms as part of one large parallel computer.

Thanks for the reply. I tried it in two linux systems. But stuck at runnong jobs. When I run job on master, getting the following error . Used the example that comes along with PVM.

Code:
pvm> spawn -> /home/cluster/bin/LINUX/hello
spawn -> /home/cluster/bin/LINUX/hello
[4]
1 successful
t80005
pvm> [4:t80005] i'm t80005
[4:t80005] can't start hello_other
[4:t80005] EOF
[4] finished
Seems like pvm cant start the hello_other. Here I have to give the location of "hello" to get it started. Which location is taken as the default one by pvm?

Solved it by creating a folder named LINUX in /usr/lib/pvm3/bin and placing the files there. Now it is working fine
