Client DNS Cache-ing

Does Linux do client side DNS Cache-ing? If so how can you see which address have been cached? How do you flush the cache?

I know in windose you can do a "ipconfig /diplaydns" to show the cached addresses, and an "ipconfig /flushdns" to clear the nds entries. Is there something like this in Linux?

I am not interest in building a BIND server or tinydns!!!

Just a simple question and hopefully a simple response!!!

Thank you

Hi there,

Did you ever get an answer to this? If so, what was the trick?

Thank you.
