Cannot ping my computer

I finally got my dynamic DNS client working. I can ping my ip from my own console. But when I try to use a website like net-tools, I cannot ping my ip or my domain. I am setup via SBC on a one port modem with no firewall other then guarddog, but even with it disabled I still have this problem. Can anybody tell me what might be the issue? thanks.
