Can I have 1 record in DNS/DHCP for 1 machine running 2 OS?

Hi!

Can anyone tell me, if

1. I can have only 1 record in DHCP/DNS server for a workstation running 2 OS (of course not in parallel).

2. Can I assign exactly same host name in both Linux and Windows?

Assuming I assign fixed IP using mac address in DHCP record

Thanks,
Aram

Yes. I do this for all of my dual boot machines.
