can't access remotely to any service

Hi,
I've just installed slackware 9.1
I don't know if it has built in firewall rules but
i can access to the services on server like ftp, ssh, www
but from other machine (on the same private network) i can't access to any service. ssh, www holds and don't do anything.
then it gives me timed out.

Thanks

Are you sure you're running the ssh daemon?

Some thoughts,

check these files...

/etc/hosts.allow
/etc/hosts.deny

in the httpd.conf file, make sure your allowing connections from other hosts.

Also, check your network connectivity. Can you ping the computer?

Also, check the iptables. There might be a problem there.

Hope this helps.
