Question can't ping firewall but firewall can!!

firewall -- hub |---host
|---switch --- lan
|---host

i have a subnet(192.168.2.0) between my firewall (iptables)and the others hosts.
the firewall can ping the InterNet and the subnet.
But the subnet can't ping the firewall ??
Everybody on the subnet ping each others.
I even stop my iptables rules on the firewall--> didn't work??

Am i missing something here???????????
