Can't connect to network - Mandriva SE 2005

This is my first time using Linux, and I'm quite stuck trying to get it to connect to my home network. I've tried setting up my network connections in the system configuration but I can't for the life of me get it to connect to the network through my router. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a physical link light at the end of the cable?

Can you post the output from:
lspci
lsmod
ifconfig
route -n
