Cable Modem and RH AS 2.1

Has anyone configured a cable modem to work with RH AS 2.1? If you have advice I would be very grateful!!

Is this cable modem connecting to an ethernet card in your computer or thru a USB connection. Details always help with better replies so we don't have to ask you questions to find your answer..

My bad!
The connection is to the NIC.

The modem works on another PC.
I can ping 127.0.0.1

You need a router or setup connection sharing from the other PC then.. Cable/DSL routers are very inexpensive these days. And in order to get a cable modem working in Linux using a NIC, get the NIC working and there's a 99.99999999999999999999999999% its going to give you no problems.
