browse problem.


Running FC4.I am browsing in my university network using proxy server.I ahve the following error always.I can ping the proxy server which i am using.



The requested URL could not be retrieved
While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.google.com/
The following error was encountered:
We can not connect to the server you have requested.
This means that:


The server might be busy at this time.

The server is not reachable.



Please try later to see if you can go through.

But i could manage to connect to proxy server.This server provides the port 3128,80,443 for surfing.All the ports are open.But none of then is working for me.They returns the above error code.

If the university is managing the proxy server, you're best off getting in touch with them since there's not a whole lot you'd be able to do to resolve the issue yourself. They could simply have Squid misconfigured or a more serious network connectivity issue, but it doesn't look like it's anything to do with your machine that you could fix.
