I run a Dell inspiron 1545. I presently am using Fedora 16. When I first load fedora. I used a Linksys wireless adapter to go online. Then in terminal I run
rpm -ivh
http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/...ble.noarch.rpm
rpm -ivh
http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfr...ble.noarch.rpm
yum install kmod-wl
Now my internal wireless works so gone with the adapter. I have few questions though.
When I turn on the laptop I have to wait for it to boot up to the desktop. Then sit and wait a few before I have signal as far as wireless.
First question is. Is there a way to load the firmware during boot up or whatever I need do so when I get to desktop my signal is there no waiting.
2nd quest. Does anyone know where I might find this driver for download so that I can save to disc or is there once installed for me to burn to a disc. I'm not a total newbie but working up the linux steps. Thank You
