BIND change location of journal files in named.conf
hi,
Is it possible to change the location that the journal files are created. By default, they are created in the same location that the zone files are.
thanks.

Short answer: no. The manual says something like "journal file path is the zone file with .jnl added". It's an interesting question, though, so I'm downloading the source for a closer look - cheers!!

I also think that .jnl files location can't be changed.
But is there any need to change the location ?
Thanks

I was just asking as I'm setting up ddns and the original location /etc/bind/zones can't be written to by bind user. I had to move them to /var/lib/bind due to apparmor protection.

Fair enough: any reason why you can't move both there?
