Bandwidth control

Hey,

Is there an easy way (or program) to know my daily bandwidth ?
I am on a network where I am fined if I download more that 500Mo so I would like to be able to check from time to time if I have enough bandwidth left to download some files without getting fined...

Thanks.

If what you meant is bandwith monitoring,

search in this forum : "bandwidth monitoring"
search in google : "linux bandwidth monitor ', "linux bandwidth monitoring"

you'll get plenty

Or just search in freshmeat or sf.net

what about mrtg, ibmonitor, bmon?
