Question automating dialup

i have written a perl script to grab some stuff off the web. that works great. my problem is, i want to automate activating & deactivating my connection, ( i'm using dialup) i can go to the network devices & do it manually, but i want it all done when i am away. i am going to use cron to run the script every hour.

please & thanks

Use "wvdial" to dial in like this:
/usr/bin/wvdial yourconnection

("yourconnection" should be defined (i.e. be a section) in /etc/wvdial.conf - see the wvdial and wvdial.conf manuals)
