Anybody had any success with S.Hemminger's TCPProbe?

Hi everybody,

I am a networks researcher, currently learning about the behaviour of TCP.

I have come across a kernel module, called tcpprobe (linux-net.osdl.org/index.php/TcpProbe), which creates hooks onto the kernel module and returns actual TCP parameters throughout a live connection.

I can get it to compile and work appropriately, and create some output from experiments.

However, my output doesn't match up with the output i'm getting from tcpdump.

First of all, I would like to communicate with somebody who is good with the C language, and who also understands the internals of TCP in linux.

If you think you can help me with this then i'd like to hear from you.

Thank you.

Ritesh
