got a dedicated server box running fedeora core.

it has an ip i can connect on but there are additional ips that are resered for the box.

atm they aren't added to the server...

if done "ip addr" and they ain't there and ifconfig and it's not there either.

can someone please explain what i need to do make it recognise them?

well then...
to add more ip's on the eth0 NIC do like this:
(considering ip1 is added to eth0)

ifconfig eth0:0 ip2

ifconfig eth0:1 ip3

ifconfig eth0:2 ip4

..and so on ..to how many ip's you have

but if you want these ips to be activated at system boot so you don't have to do this every time
go to /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts and create files named ifcfg-eth0:0 , ifcfg-eth0:1 ..and so on
and then you need to add information to them... for an example of what you need to add
look in the ifcfg-eth0 file which was already there (or at least it should be )

Well anyway that's the way I do it and it works for me. if anyone knows a better, easyer way to do this please tell us

Good luck,
