Both RHL8 and 9 are dead operating systems and have been for years now, why are you still using them???? You use Windows XP why not the latest in the Red Hat family????

Fedora Core is the replacement for the old un-supported and dead RHLX.X series.
Scientific Linux and CentOS are freely available clones of RHEL 3.X or 4.X series.

Choose one and upgrade.
