Recently I got a Huawei U7519 phone from Tmobile as a free upgrade. While it has a PC-Suite software for Windows, I couldn't find any under Linux.
The phone runs some proprietary software, and "horribile dictu", the PC suite is not available in Windows 7, although the phone was released in September2009.

I'm not looking for some fancy swiss-army-knife tool, but for a simple solution to synchronize my contacts with Thunderbird.

Right now I have to export the addressbook to csv format, import it to Outlook, then synchronize it with the phone.

Any thoughts???

Have you checked out BitPIM? That app/project may have the connectivity you are looking for. They had connectivity for one of the lesser known ones that I got as one of those "free promotion phones" that was a Sanyo MM-8300.
