file sync between 'droid (KitKat) phone and tablet

Does anyone know a good way to (1)copy, (2)move, (3)sync files and folders between my phone and my tablet. I use DropBox™ and SpiderOak™ for backup, but feel that there ought to be an easy way to sync over LAN, BlueTooth, Near-field, etc between two very capable mobile devices.

As I go through my days, one device or the other gathers the most new content. From time to time, I want to move things around to where I can make best use of that content.
  • I take photos with my phone and edit on my tablet
  • I want some pix on phone after edits for bragging &c
  • I read on my tablet, and want a few things on my phone for those all-too-frequent times I queue up.
  • I browse with either device and want the same bookmarks &c
  • I capture downloads while I'm browsing with either device and might decide that content is best used on the other device.
  • I read email with either device and capture attachments.
  • I edit attachments on my tablet
  • My tablet is not 4G-LTE
  • My phone is 4G-LTE with hotspot feature

My devices are:
The Phone:
Samsung Galaxy Note-2 (SGH-i317)
running AT&T KitKat v4.4.2
The Tablet:
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 (GT-N5110)
running "Samsung" v4.4.2
Thanks in advance,
~~~ 0;-Dan
A quick google shows this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....bluebox&hl=en
Might be something worth looking at. However the advantage of cloud based storage such as DropBox is, as you mention, the face that it's also a backup.
