Converting between VGA (analog) and HDMI (digital) can be complicated, and USB is not the same as HDMI, so that's a minimum of two adapters involved (if it works at all).
There are probably simpler options if you explain more fully what exactly you are trying to achieve and why?
Got an old, unused monitor.
Tablet with decent internet connection.
Now have treadmill for winter.
Serious need to walk due to aggravating sciatica in the old bod'.
Canadian winters getting too cold for the old bod', too.
Want to watch something whilst walking in the warmth.
Don't think this will work - can't find the right combination of adaptors
Most are one-way VGA to HDMI
micro-USB to HDMI are easy, as are HDMI to VGA, but micro-USB to HDMI to VGA runs into serious male-female issues. Looking like 3 adapters at this point and that's just asking for trouble.
Gonna need a different monitor
@boughtonp, the tablet screen is useless for actually watching anything, it's too small.I'm at the point where I'm scrapping the idea, anyway. Too much aggravation, like almost everything technical nowadays.
