Android phone making its own calls - ??

2 android phone numbers on same account.
Now on the 3rd physical phone for one number - it randomly calls the other phone, and does not light up and the other phone rarely rings.
We found our dinner conversation being recorded in the background.

Have Factory reset each of the phones, then installed minimal apps with only the phone, Carrier Services, and Google Play Services with permissions for the phone.

What could be causing this?

I am unfortunate enough to have an 'Edge' phone which with only onr working hand is a pain in the proverbials.

Is your screen locked. I always lock mine manually, as if I don't, anything can/will happen. But it's not the phone's fault.

How do you carry your phone? I've seen where a holster with a magnetic closer made the phone do some really weird things.

Mill J :
I would bet on that except it started before one of those holsters was in use. Drat.

And I forgot to note: so far we only know of it calling the other phone attached to the account.

If I ever get the Pinephone going, maybe we'll discover that the SIM is the issue.
