The XFCE edition of Mint, like the other editions except the Cinnamon/MATE edition, is a community edition. Therefore it is usually released later the main version.

Thank you -- this is exactly what I'm looking for.
Not sure if there will be a community edition of Mint 14 with Xfce. I think the Xfce edition of Mint 13 was created to coincide with Mint 13 being a long-term support edition. But you can always try installing Mint 14 first, then installing the PPA for the Xfce 4.10 desktop. After that, find the Mint themes and MintMenu packages (plus all dependent packages) in the regular Mint 14 repositories. That's similar to how I upgraded Xubuntu 12.04 to what's essentially Mint 13 Xfce (at least as far as the desktop environment is concerned.)
