Will Virtualbox support my TV tuner card?

Hi all,
I am going to buy a new laptop which is Dell Inspiron 15R, 'cos my previous laptop got stolen last week (Don't ask )

I have an old external USB TV tuner card which works fine with windows, now I'm going to install Julia on my new system, so I am planning to run WnXP with virtualbox there.
My question is when I will plug the TV tuner card into the system, will my Guest Windows be able to recognize it and play TV there? I hope virtualbox will support USB as I don't want to install Windows in my system again just to watch the TV

Again, do you think Julia will work fine in Dell Inspiron 15R? I am not sure about it.

UEFA Champions league knockout round is almost going to start I need to figure this out in next few days, don't wanna miss any match.

Just need some valuable suggestions.
Happy Holidays...........

just a question, but why use virtualbox for your tv, unless the tuner isn't supported by linux you could use VLC, tvtime, mplayer, mythtv or any other number of tv programs for linux without the hassle of virtual box

that being said the non open source version of virtualbox does support usb as long as you have the drivers for the device for windows it should work, but I would look at lsmod with the device plugged in and see if any of the following modules show up in the list
(videodevice,tuner,tvaudio,tuner_simple,tuner_types)
if they are there, then your device should be accessible from within linux
