i am presently workinn on debian but i want to switch to zorinn or mint. as debian does not have a bootable disk creator, so i downloaded unetboot, and zorinn os annd minnt os. i did the relavant to create a iso image onto the usb. the problemis:- 1. after completing the writing process, unetboot gives optionn of reboot. i press reboot but nothing happenns. so i exit and manually reboot. the system reboots but system hangs with the followinng message, "SYSLINUX 4.02 debian.......... anvin et al". what can be the problem and how do i resolve it.....i use acer 4736z laptop.
Distribution: Mainly Devuan, antiX, & Void, with Tiny Core, Fatdog, & BSD thrown in.

Using a live system, take a look into your syslinux.conf to see if it is attempting to boot from something other than /dev/sda1, which is where it should be looking for the system. If it is using UUID then that is more difficult to deal with.
b2r, please look at the distro's homepage for instructions on how to create a bootable usb medium.
every good distro should have those instructions somewhere on their web pages.

If you're using gnome3 debian has 2 different burners 1 is Brasero, for burning cd's/dvd's & the other is Disk Image Writer, for burning to usb. All you have to do is Right-click on iso & scroll to "Open With" & select the prefered app from the list.
