Question Trying to edit Cinnamon theme

Hi,
I am attempting to edit the Mint-Y theme in Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon.

Supposedly, I can copy from /usr/share/themes over to ~/.themes. There, I've changed the name of the theme folder from Mint-Y to MyMint-Y. In the folder, there are a number of subfolders and an index.theme file.

Opening index.theme, I found 4 references to "Mint-Y" and renamed each one to "MyMint-Y." I saved the file and looked in the System Settings > Themes to see if I could select this theme. Cannot find it listed.

My source of tutorial is this Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon tutorial from 2018:
How to edit themes in Linux Mint Cinnamon - Tutorial

Listing of index.theme
Code:
[Desktop Entry]
Type=X-GNOME-Metatheme
Name=MyMint-Y
Comment=A flat theme with transparent elements
Encoding=UTF-8

[X-GNOME-Metatheme]
GtkTheme=MyMint-Y
MetacityTheme=MyMint-Y
IconTheme=MyMint-Y
CursorTheme=Bibata-Modern-Classic
ButtonLayout=:minimize,maximize,close
I reverted the changes and only renamed the "NAME=MyMint-Y" but neither version worked to become selectable from the list of available themes.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone can tell me what I've missed to make this work. Is the way tings were done in version 19 totally wrong for version 21.3?

I will mark this thread solved and see if I can follow the advice. I am acquainted with IF → THEN from my days of BASIC in the Radio Shack Color Computer 2.

Next, I need to refamiliarize myself with where the Cinnamon desktop is derived from.

Your information is greatly appreciated!
