I apologize for being late to thread but if you have a .deb package sometimes it's easier to right-click on file & select "Open With" & selct Gedbi wbich will install for you & prompt for dependencies before installing.

scanner problem

Thanks for your input. Now my friend need to run scanner Hewlett Packard Photosmart 5510.

Where can I get the driver for this model?

The Hewlett Packard Photosmart 5510 device is supported by the HPLIP driver package (version 3.11.10 or above for printing and scanning).


Install instructions are here.

I note two Linux Mint pages referring to hplip and hplip-gui:
