Lightbulb Proper way to switch xfce to xmonad

As the title says I am looking for the correct way to switch my WM from Xfce to Xmonad.
Reason learning Haskell and so why not give xmonad a spin. I am at work currently so can’t search for an answer right now.

You don't have to switch. Multiple window managers/desktop environment can co exist on the same install.

Install xmonad.

Log out. The login screen should display an icon or dialog allowing to the change your DE/WM (what it will look like and where it will be located will depend on which display manager you are using for your login screen).

Choose xmonad and log back in.

You should be good to go.
