installation fails to load grub

On installing after all the advice pictures a warning comes up failed to load grub clicking Ok then says installer crashed.

I have often had this on many installations but cannot figure out why.

Any help please how can I overcome this and why it happens on Linux Mint.

is your system unbootable now?
please explain.

assuming yes:

boot live, don't start the installer, make sure which is your internal hard drive.
assuming it is /dev/sda, issue this command:
Code:
sudo grub-install /dev/sda
sudo update-grub
if that doesn't fix it show us the commands' output.

I think this is might be your answer if you wasn't connected to internet before. The installation probably needed to download some files to install grub correctly on your system.
