Impossible to minimize windows in Linux mint 9 LXDE

I downloaded Linux mint 9 LXDE. Everything is working fine, but when I want ti minimize a window to the desktop panel, the window dissapears, and I have to start Mozilla again, I cannot recover the window from the control panel. This is speecially molestant when I need to have 2-3 open browser windows. In Linux Mint main edition this does not happen. Is this a normal characteristic of LXDE editions, or is something wrong with my installation.

@Anisha

Many thanks for this solution.
Solves the problem I had in Knoppix 6.2.1.
I have no idea how this applet got misplaced,
but you've solved the problem.
