My solution

I have never had to delete a file but I have had to make a selection to ignore the verification of the logon certificate. This is a check box in PAC Manager so I don't know what the command line version of the setting is.

I don't know if I've tried everything but I have used rdesktop and xfreerdp. A more recent solution is to use PAC Manager with both products mentioned above. At no time has any of these worked all of the time but each solution has its own problems. In general, all of the solutions either lock up, lose keyboard and mouse connectivity or drop the connection.

The solution I am now using is Ubuntu Linux 12.04 as the host and VirtualBox 4.2.x with a Windows 7 guest. I then use Windows RDP client to connect to the remote Windows boxes. I have experienced no issues. I even use this solution to log into a remote desktop and then use that remote desktop to RDP into other desktops on the same network. As you can imaging, performance is an issue but it's the only issue.

If you cannot create the environment that I've described, the next best option in my opinion is PAC Manager.

I'm wondering if there is a TS license perhaps. Is it only a problem from this node only or any TS connection. Anything in the windows logs? I'm guessing at least connectivity is there, telnet. I've been using rdesktop a while and haven't had that happen so just piping in ..
