Question Broken symbolic link /initrd /vmlinuz

I reinstalled LM17.2 and when I ran backup [tar.gz of whole encrypted drive] my boot directory did not have initrd.img-3.16.0-38-generic
vmlinuz-3.16.0-38-generic in it. Where can I find these in Linux Mint and create the symbolic links in root directory?

If you want to use 3.16.0-38, and you don't have it, you can install it using the Update Manager.
Open the Update Manager.
Click the View menu > Linux Kernels
