uninstalled Ubuntu on UEFI, I think I killed my laptop...
"minimal bash-like line editing" no kernel found
Ok, my pc come with windows 8 and UEFI, and then I installed ubuntu in dual boot. Everything was perfect and both ran, yet then I wanted to change for lubuntu and since I'm a dumb person I formatted the disk partitions where I had ubuntu using windows 8, and now I can't get over the "minimal bash-like line editing is supported" screen. I can't access windows, I can't boot into linux since i have no linux and i can't reinstall ubuntu because I can't get into EUFI because I can't access windows 8...
Is there something I can do instead of crying over a running dead laptop?
Sounds strange. I don't have any Win8 machines (my deliberate choice), but my UEFI firmware allows me to enter the boot list much like a CMOS BIOS would. Hit the relevant key (<Esc>, <Del>, whatever ...) and you should be set to make a selection.
Else, if you could install Ubuntu i the first place, you should have the CD/DVD bootable, so you should be able to run that in liveCD mode. Then install Intels efibootmgr to set the Win8 as the default boot.
just to know: your laptop itself is not killed at all, but your OS (I do not know if ubuntu and/or windows). Probably you can reinstall ubuntu again and restore the original state. Just need to create a boot cd or pen drive.
