udev error PLEASE HELP


the laptop i have attempted to install fedora core 5 on is an acer laptop with:
180 gb HD
2 gb of RAM
128 mb ATI card
AMD turion 64 x2

Problem:

i have installed fedora without a single problem up until i reboot after the installation.. i get the following message:

"starting udev: Wait Timeout. Will continue in background [FAILED]"


any help would be great

I got the exact same problem on my laptop (acer aspire 5102, similar spec) - if you (or anyone else) figured out how to overcome it could you message me or send a reply please?

Solution

I found a solution and my fedora core 5 works perfectly now.
