Ubuntu Hardy on Lenovo N200

Hi all,
Installing Hardy on the Lenovo N200 was a breeze.
Teething problem experienced tho.
One was the sound, there wasnt any.
I followed a thread on the ubuntu forums, and got it working.

However, when i pressed the mute button on the keyboard, then unmuted it, i got a high pitched sound from the speakers, that refuses to go away.
Even after a restart.

Any help/ info will be greatly appreciated

I have seen similar threads with this chip set, I think this is a sound module issue...
