Question Ubuntu Error Laptop running on low graphics mode


when i try to install UBUNTU 14.04 on my lenovo G510 laptop it shows error:
ubuntu is running in low graphics mode, your screen, graphics card, and input device settings could not be detected correctly. You will need to configure these yourself.

WHAT IS THE SOLUTION HELP ME OUT.

You don't need to fix it. If you want you can generally add in one of two types of drivers for your video chip/card. They make generic and there are OEM drivers generally available.

I guess it could be possible that your laptop will not support the advanced features or maybe some bios edit to offer more shared memory to video. Most newer laptops can run some new driver and distro.

Tell us what video card level or chipset level you have.

Did you select recovery mode from the menu or did it just boot to it from the first option?

On 14.04, you can try opening System Settings from the icon on the left panel, go to Software & Upgrades and it should open a window with several options. The one on the far right is Additional Drivers. Click on that and after 30-60 seconds you should get some output with a recommended graphics driver and several other options. You can try installing the recommended to see if it works. Might be a good idea to write down what you did.
