i am having compaq presario v3000 laptop.Now i am using windows xp.And there is more space in my harddisk.Further i need to install red hat5 and also oracle enterprise linux,although both of them resemble the same.I should need both of them with xp.IS it possible?





Provide me the solutions.....

if nothing unusual happens triple boot is possible..

Every Linux permits at least 15 partitions. Each Linux takes one partition but a common swap is required.

Ignoring one partition used up to form the extended partition everybody can get 3 primaries and 11 logical partitions out of a hard disk and is accepted by all Linux and MS systems.

Say 10Gb partition for Xp and each Linux a user can install 13 operating systems (one partition used for swap) comfortably with a hard disk of 150Gb.

Xp and every Linux can do multi boot but the static screen of Xp can only list out 10 lines, therefore 10 OS is its limit. As for Linux the sky is the limit. We can have 130 partitions in a hard disk and a XP can be booted in each one of them (when I tried). However most Linux partitioning tools do not wonder beyond 63th partitions but all of then are happy with up to 15 partitions.

With an eye sharp as a pixel you can tell the OP if he/she knows how to dual boot then each of the 3rd, 4th, 5th,....200th operating systems is just a repeat.
