You know, t you know, on the network a few pages of detailed instructions to replace fluorescent and LED backlighting. They will definitly help if your laptop's backlight continues.

Toshiba Satellite BE45T Dim backlight since i bought

I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite BE45T & i have a similar issue as posted in this forum.

Backlight dims sometimes to the point where it seems you cant read anything.

Should i try to change lcd as stated in this forum or get expert help from a center. The problem is there is no Toshiba centers nearby.

Is it easy to do this by oneself??

i have opened laptops before for cleaning, for changing keyboard panel etc..

Thanks in advance

If Toshiba is still having this problem, that's absolutely irresponsible of them. I sent mine in multiple times...they'd swap out the LCD but it would always go bad again. There's two things you can do: 1) let them fix it if its still under warranty, with the understanding that it'll break again, or 2) fix it yourself, even knowing that you're not a certified laptop repair person. Neither are good options, though.
