The screen isn't turn on after stand by when openning the laptop display


Hello

I have Dell INSPEIRON 6400 and when I close the display and open it, the screen left black.

It's happen me both in Ubuntu 7.10 and Arch

Hi

click system>preferences>power management
change the option for "when laptop lid is closed" to hibernate.
check the tab for "running on batteries" and see if it also
changed to hibernate.

this may be whats going on with your laptop.
