Question Stuck at 92%


Im installing Debain Linux on an old dell laptop inspriron 8000, and it has a dvd drive i guess they upgraded it to a while ago, and im at the very first loading screen for installation and im stuck at
"Detecting hardware to find CD-ROM drives" 92% Starting PC card services...

Now ther was a NetLINE pr card in there, but i took it out before booting.

Help?

you want to try swapping out hardware (e.g. the DVD drive) that you think might be causing the problem.

Try including noapic and nopcmcia at the boot line. I had to do this on my brother's Sager notebook when testing it with Knoppix.

Sure. Lets get lcp not to install Linux. It is a notebook or labtop computer. It is not a desktop.

Sure. Lets get lcp not to install Linux. It is a notebook or labtop computer. It is not a desktop.
What was that last bit about? its for programming outside, and astronomy purposes. why would i use any thing else than linux?
