sshfs, Ubuntu 9.04, and the eee

I have a 1000ha eee. I was running Ubuntu 8.10 with Adam's kernel and everything worked fine with sshfs. My hard drive started to fail so when I swapped the drive I went to Ubuntu 9.04. I also installed Adam's kernel for 9.04.

Now sshfs is flaky, ssh seems fine. Sometimes sshfs fails, losing the connection to the network drive, sometimes it takes out the whole network connection.

Has anyone seen this issue? I am trying to figure out the cause? Any ideas on a fix?

Thanks in advance
