redhat installation on dell inspiron


i tried to install redhat 9 on dell inspiron xps gen 2 but it does not let me partition. i tried both manual and automation partition but it gives error

Could not allocate requested partitions: Partitioning failed:
Could not allocate partitions as primary partitions.

Have you tried using Fedora Core 4. Its available from fedora.redhat.com and its the distro that replaced Redhat 9 and below which are now obsolete and don't recieve any support or updates from Redhat anymore.
