Question about Installing ubuntu..

Last time, I posted a thread about booting Ubuntu and it did not work. It turns out to be a borked install so I tried installing it again and the setup wont let me pass the "Get to know you" screen (Setting username / password) And the installer stops and says "Ready when you are". Can someone clarify things for me?

Did you set up a user name with capital letters in it? If so, try setting up the user name with all lower case letters.
