Arrow problem with touchpad on acer tm 4720 with fedora 9 and kernel 2.6.28.7

hi,

i have installed fedora 9 on my acer travelmate 4720 laptop. i can move the curser using the touchpad and the movement is also pretty smooth, but am not able to use it to 'double-click'. as i did not have the source code of the fedora 9 kernel, i upgraded the kernel to 2.6.28.7 from kernel.org. but no difference.

i did a 'dmesg' and found the model to be 'Synaptics touchpad'. i couldn't find the driver for this model in the 2.6.28.7 kernel. i have run out of options now. any help please? thanks in advance.
