Hi!
I'm trying to use my internal modem (i have fujitsu e-6624)
to work on madrake 9.1.

I have this modem:
00:1f.6 Modem: Intel Corp. 82801CA/CAM AC'97 Modem (rev 01)

and i have read that this is compatible whit pctel modem driver.


Now, I have tried to install pctel driver but I have problem with
modules compatibility (the running kernel is not exactly the same
of the kernel source code in mandrake 9.1). I have tried a fixscript to resolv the problem but nothing happened.

There is a rpm for this pctel driver ?

You didn't install the developmental packages? As root, command:
urpmi gcc
An Introduction to the Midnight Commander. You can install it by commanding:
urpmi mc

i had the same problem with my Mandrake 9.1 and the PCTel 0.9.6 drivers
i made them etc. then i used the command:
insmod -f ptserial.o
insmod -f pctel.o


other words use the -f switch to force it into kernel - it should load with warnings
