PCMCIA not loaded


hi, i have Compaq presario 2100 with ati radeon IGP 320M video card and i installed redhat 9.0 and after the instalation it restarted and it stops loading on the line where it says "Loading PCMCIA"....

plz helpp me. asap.

i am a newbee to linux...so explain in details plz..

Hi there,

I had a similar problem with Mandrake 9.2. With this, though, you can have an interactive start-up which asks at each step whether you wish to start a particular service with a 'yes/no' response required. At PCMCIA start telling it 'no' allows the start up to carry on, allowing you to trouble shoot it later if you need the service. Not needing PCMCIA I then disabled it at start up in the control centre.

I don't know much about Redhat but I hope this helps.

Yes .
Jacko is right. But something whould be notice.
While the the boot line in notice you can hit the key "I" to interactive with the boot process. and then you can answer "NO" with the PCMCIA load.
