partitioning my zv6015us

i'm about done downloading FC4 and I'd like to get my hard drive ready for the install. First off does someone remember where a particular thread is on a Linux install. I'm referring to a well documented thread where the author mentioned using ghost to image the windows drive and then completely deleting windows. It was a very good thread but I cant seem to find it. It could have very well been on linux.org or the fedora forum as well. ---- anyways. i would like to consider several ways of partitioning my 100 gb drive on the laptop. I currently only have 75gb of 93 available. I'm primarily going to use windows but want to begin taking linux more seriously. What do you think is fairly decent size partition for Fedora Core 4 and additional programs? I seem to feel really comfortable with using something like Nortons Partition Magic but really don't want to shell the bucks. Any recommendations?

The FC4 install should guide you through the process of partitioning and installing it easily.
It has a partition manager built in and will ask you during the install what you want to do with your hard-drive.
You can make the / partition around 4-5GB and /SWAP between 256MB and 1GB depending on how much phisical ram you have and /usr or /home the remaining space for your movies an stuff.
Hope that helps!
