I have a DELL Precision M70 laptop whit a Fedora Core 6 (2.6.20-1.2944.fc6 version kernel) distribution operating system installed and function very well, but I have a doubt. Since I install Fedora Core 6 on my laptop, the ventilator is very noizy. I have a Pentium M procesor and when I have Windows on it, the ventilator was not noizy.
I want to know if theres something I can do to solve this or if I have to live whit it.
Are you saying the fan is running faster? If so, the i8kutils package can help for many Dell laptops. It was originally designed for the Inspiron 8000 line, but many others use the same HW interfaces.
